Why T'doff Exists
T'doff started with a simple observation: the technology golfers need is already in their pocket.
Modern iPhones contain incredibly powerful hardware: multiple high-speed cameras, advanced motion sensors, and LiDAR depth scanning. Pair that with devices many golfers already own, like an Apple Watch for motion telemetry or AirPods for voice guidance and head tracking, and suddenly you have a sophisticated performance system without needing to buy additional gadgets.
So the question becomes: why keep paying subscription fees or dealing with ads for tools that simply access hardware you already own?
The same idea applies to course data. Many golf apps charge monthly or yearly fees simply to maintain map data or adjust a pin location. But the maps already exist on your phone. With T'doff, players can place coordinates directly on a map, almost like the old Battleship game many of us played as kids, quickly laying out tees, greens, hazards, or targets. Spend a few minutes setting up a course and you can use it as long as you want.
Even better, courses do not have to be recreated by every player. Once someone maps a course, it can be shared openly so others can use it instantly. Over time, the goal is to build a shared repository where players can upload courses, search for layouts, and download them directly into the app. Instead of paying for locked map databases, golfers can contribute to a growing open library of courses.
Another common reason golfers feel locked into subscription apps is score sharing during a round. Many platforms require an internet connection or paid services to sync players' scores together. But Apple provides a technology called MultiPeer Connectivity, which allows nearby devices to connect directly to each other. With this approach, players on the course can link their apps locally and share scores or round information together, even without an internet connection.
T'doff is built around the idea that great software should unlock the devices you already own, not charge you repeatedly for access to them.
The small cost of the app simply helps fund continued development, experimentation, and testing so the platform can keep improving. No ads. No subscriptions. Just powerful golf technology built on the hardware already in your pocket.

Why T'doff
Accurate distances to the green, pin location context, and simple scoring.
Get reliable yardages quickly so every shot starts with the right number.
Understand pin placement in context so you can choose a safer target.
Keep score cleanly hole by hole with a stable interface that stays out of your way.
Beyond the Basics
T'doff also explores what’s possible beyond the basics. Apple Watch integration, AirPods voice feedback, AR rangefinding, and LiDAR-based experiments exist as optional enhancements — not requirements. The advanced tools are there for golfers who want deeper insight, while the core experience remains straightforward: accurate distances, clean score tracking, and a stable interface.
How It Works
Map the course, play the round, review outcomes, and improve over time.
T'doff starts before your first shot. Choose a saved course or map one quickly, step by step. Tee boxes, hole layouts, and key landmarks are organized early so your round has structure from the first swing. The goal is a clean digital course map that keeps your performance data organized.
Track score hole by hole and check distances as you play. If you wear an Apple Watch, it can capture supporting data in the background. The round flow stays familiar while the app records your decisions and results.
Review where strokes were gained or lost and see clear patterns across driving, approach play, short game, and putting. Instead of remembering only a few bad holes, you get objective trends across the full round. Over time, the app learns your swing and can provide shot projection to help locate a lost ball.
After the round, review analytics, compare past rounds, and pick specific areas to improve. If you recorded swings in Swing Studio, replay them in slow motion and connect movement patterns to on-course results.
Keep it simple: map, play, review, adjust, repeat. T'doff turns a normal round into a clean feedback loop you can use every time you play.
Optional: Coach Mode Integration
Coach Mode connects scoring data, shot tracking, Apple Watch telemetry, and round history into one optional intelligence layer. It is designed to support decisions without adding complexity to the core round flow.
Real App Screens
Every screen is designed for quick glances during an active round — clean, fast, and built around real golfer decision-making. *NOTE: Screens and features may adjust based on beta feedback.
